November 2nd -- A date that will likely be forgotten as soon as tomorrow saw a series of unpredictable events unfold that left a small farming community in ruins. Two landscaping crews lay at the center of the destruction. The cause of the carnage was an apparently weeks long argument over which company was responsible for bagging the clippings left behind in the neighborhood after the jobs were completed.
"One day they're out there with mowers, blowers, and trimmers..." said one witness, the owner of a gas station in the area, "...and the next day they've got AK47s and M60s. There was even a helicopter that nearly blew up the dang water tower!"
Another resident, whose library was destroyed, said that the thing more shocking than the violence was how heavily armed these landscape crews were. "Fighter jets conducted multiple precision airstrikes, RPGs were flying all over." He said, "One thing is for sure, if they're able to afford that we've been vastly overpaying for their services."
When told to go to the scene to provide more information on this story, our investigative journalist reportedly replied, "It's grass. Who gives a damn about that?" It's unlikely there will be any further developments.

a tornado landed across the street from us and uprooted an big oak tree roots and all and torn up some other stuff down the street.
we had some huge limbs landed in our front yard as well as up and down the street. thank goodness storm surge was not as high as it could off been. we saw water coming up at the end of the street hiding our way but it stopped quite a ways away.
thank goodness for that.
no damage to our house can't say the same for others.
power was turned on faster than expected. they originally predicted several days. since a lot of transformers did blow last night. we could hear them popping all over town.
that's the good news the bad news is there is another one out there and not sure where it is going just yet.

October 24th -- three entire blocks of a neighborhood lay in ruins tonight after a paintball game went very wrong. It all started as a group of kids were playing tag and eventually brought paintball guns into the mix. Hardly expert marksmen, many of the participants of the game missed their intended targets and ended up coating the neighborhood with paint. Investigators believe that at some point one of the paintball guns was loaded with red paint and one of the more stupid players believed he had actually been shot with live ammunition. Naturally he pulled out a real firearm and began blasting. In a rather odd and inexplicable turn of events, it seems everyone in the area had actual firearms, clay more mines, C4, and even RPGs ready to go. The result was the nearly instant destruction of a large portion of the town in the span of barely fifteen minutes. There was not a vehicle left unharmed by sunset. The National Guard was called in to suppress the violence but refused to respond saying that, "...the neighborhood didn't have very much valuable real estate" and "it would be better to let God sort things out."

In a rather unusual turn of events in the Middle East, authorities have found that the cause of a helicopter crash in a small town was pilot distraction. The CH-47 Chinook Helicopter went down in the town square around 0300 hours last week, just after receiving an assignment to insert a team to put a stop to what appeared to be a back alley brawl involving several terrorists. It was hoped that at least one terrorist could be captured alive and interrogated. The bodies of several terrorists were found at the location of the reported brawl. But in the strangest twist of the whole story, investigators have determined no brawl took place. The official cause of death has been listed as auto-erotic asphyxiation brought on during the most bizarre ritualistic suicide orgy any of the investigators had ever seen. No goats, dead or alive, were found at the location.
"We can only imagine what that may have looked like from an aircraft through Night Vision Goggles." said one of the investigators adding that, "it must have been quite the disturbing scene like a mass of human spaghetti rolling around on the ground."
Authorities now believe that the helicopter crew arrived to find the deadly mass orgy in progress, became distracted by what they saw, and failed to observe that the helicopter was flying towards a building. The impact was mild but caused power loss to the number two engine which resulted in the helicopter impacting the ground hard enough to break in two. More on this absurd story as the author makes it up....er... it develops.
