Really don't understand where this no 1.2 servers is coming from. There are still a lot of 1.2 servers online. Did someone just decide to change for them selves

It has also been stated throughout this thread that there are still servers on 1.2; the issue is, as Nilrem says, that OUR server host no longer supports 1.2 (or any other patch that is not the Steam version, for that matter).

Also, adding to that - it isn't really an option for us to find another provider, due to still having a lot of funds left over from donations.

The move really isn't a bad one. When people decide to buy the game, they will automatically be trafficked to 1.8 - so there will always be new flow of people from time to time.

Thank you for your patience. At this time, we would be able to offer you a dedicated machine in our NJ location. The specs of the machine we would set you up with are as follows:

E3-1220
4 Cores x 3.0Ghz CPU
16 GB RAM
1 TB HDD
10TB Bandwidth
10Gbps DDOS Mitigation

The machine would have four usable IP addresses. There would be no control panel, so everything would be managed via RDP. This will allow you to find and use the version of CoD multiplayer that you require.

It would cost a total of $89.99/month.

If this is a viable option for you, please let us know and we can begin setting it up.

We could consider this, but it requires (1) someone to manage our own server(s) outright, and (2) an identified benefit for spending $90/month (we pay just over half now for two game servers and our bot).

Honestly, I'm happy where we are at. I feel like overtime, many we have known will come back to us and the added bonuses are nice to have with 1.8.

I think we should just stay where we are - and if we lose some members and regulars, then so be it. Hopefully, at some point they will think to check the forums, but if not, then it is really only their own fault.

I agree, we should stay here.

*Quite a few have paid money for the new version
*New Maps
*New server functionality (it’s possible to outright disable tubes/marty, at least I’ve heard)
*Potentially huge pool of possible new members
*No gaping security flaw waiting to be exploited and shut the server down

I vote we stay where we are at now. I'd like to see us reach out to those members that for one reason or another haven't joined us. It could be technical, cost, or they are lost in the shuffle. Is there a broadcast push email for all clan members? Some may not be on the forums or discord.
