I am trying to decide on a new pc. the one I have is over 10 years old which has been good to me. it is an asus.
I can not build one for when it come to the that side of it I am an idiot.
there is so many different brands out there since 10 years ago that I do not know what brand of pc is better than the other.
I would like to spend under 1500 dollars and still have a decent pc. any recommendation would be appreciated.

Biggest question: What do you plan on doing with it?
Also: Do you like lights? Laptop or Desktop?

Hey edge, pitbull is having a problem with the graphic card in his computer. Over the years I've had to troubleshoot computers with video problems. This is difficult because the card and the main boards share a lot of the function to produce the picture.
I suggest the that you purchase a computer with on-board graphics and purchase a good graphics card. then disable the on-board graphics. So if you have a problem, you can use the on-board graphics to bypass the card.
That has worked for me. However, every year or so the video card interface changes, so the card you buy might be $500 today and $50 5 years from now. Upgrading sometimes isn't an option because of the interface change. Same with the memory. I have parts and pieces from the early 1980's. I was an electronics engineering technician back in those days.
Well enough of me rambling. you can never have enough video card, chip speed, or memory. So buy for life and play hard!

I do not know if this type of product is still available, but one should consider using a "rust inhibitor and water pump lubricant". Half of a pint is more than enough.
