cat 2 zeta is in the history books and now cleanup is gonna take a while. we watched it from our porch as limbs were flying everywhere with 100 mph winds whipped around us.
a tornado landed across the street from us and uprooted an big oak tree roots and all and torn up some other stuff down the street.
we had some huge limbs landed in our front yard as well as up and down the street. thank goodness storm surge was not as high as it could off been. we saw water coming up at the end of the street hiding our way but it stopped quite a ways away.
thank goodness for that.
no damage to our house can't say the same for others.
power was turned on faster than expected. they originally predicted several days. since a lot of transformers did blow last night. we could hear them popping all over town.
that's the good news the bad news is there is another one out there and not sure where it is going just yet.

went for a drive today and majority of traffic lights are missing, power lines and poles are down and huge oak trees are snapped in half or uprooted. pine trees the same.
fast food like McDonalds and burger king are missing their signs. I talked to someone who drove down beach Blvd./hwy 90 says it is a total mess and not recommend to drive on it. which I didn't.
people were pretty quick cleaning up their yards what they could. now the city has to come pick up the big piles of tree limbs.
and now our eyes is looking out toward the Atlantic as another storm is forming out there.
see y'all in the game
