In BF1 certain achievements require the medic to make 30 or 50 kills with the grenade launcher. Grenade launchers are forbidden in your rules section. This would seem to be a legitimate game goal and a perfectly fair and intended weapon to be used by the game developers. Why not permit players to persue all achievements on your servers?

It’s because they are generally overpowered. You can send an explosive to the other end of the map with a high degree of accuracy and almost no skill involved. The GL is practically guaranteed to go where you want it to. Many players end up becoming reliant on it. I’ve seen players exclusively use GL and never actually fire the gun. Fire the 203 twice, grenade your feet, fire the 203 twice, grenade your feet and repeat. You’ll have the highest kill count, and likely achieve a near 2:1 KDR easily. People get mad at those types of players as much as they do campers they can’t kill.

This might be a mixup, we do not play BF1, we are solely a Call of Duty 4 clan. You might be looking for the =SEC 8= Battlefield clan (whose rules towards grenade launchers I do not know). If you do so, you'll find them

I can't find DaveTheBrave in the gametracker banner, so I agree that this might be a mix-up.

But you can generally count on the rules of servers to have been decided by the majority of members and players on the server, which is entirely legitimate - no-one is obligated to allow everything simply because it is a part of the game, but, rather, are free to create their environment in whatever way they feel will make for the most fun.
And no-one is obligated to play on any specific server, so if you do not happen to like the particular rules, you are very welcome to play elsewhere.

Sorry it probably is a mix up. The grenade launcher in BF1 definitely has a very limited range and will not fire more than a couple of hundred yards and is fairly inaccurate. Your lucky to get a kill with it unless you land it in a house or bunker you know enemy are in. The =SEC8= are who I thought this clan was and who I was looking for because they definitely govern their server with several rules. Thanks.

Yeah it's a mix up. Our tags are [s*8]. and we don't play BF1, we're on COD4. But GLs are outlawed on our server as well.
