anyone know a fix for the error? windows 10 seems to have this issue where if no usb headset is detected the game crashes on startup for me.. literally the dumbest bug i can think of. Unfortunately i HAD my headset with me but im in the middle of moving so as i moved my desktop i threw the headset in a moving box and that box is now in the back of a storage pod and i dont want to buy another one. If no solution is available ill be back in like a month or so when i get unpacked at the new house. Stay Classy folks

Have you tried this time old trick?

-Hardware and Sound
-Sound
-Recording Tab
-Right click in window, choose 'Show Disabled Devices"
-"Stereo MIX" appeared, Right click and choose enable

yeah ive tried that a while ago but i dont have the stereo mix option so thats weird

If you don't have the Stereo Mix option, even if you have enabled seeing disabled options, it may be a graphics driver issues. You may need to manually update your Realtek graphics/sound drivers

It may also help to plug in any random aux cord you may have laying around into the mic port in the back of your box. Sometimes that fixes it. No idea why
